Seohyang Oh
Pianist Seohyang Oh is a professional Korean pianist from Busan. She graduated at Dongeui University in Busan, Korea for her bachelor's and master's degrees with Dr. Dongseom Lee. She also studied at Brandon University in Canada with Dr. Kyung Kim.
She has particpated in, and was awarded first place in the Brandon Festival of the Arts Competition in contemporary music. Moreover, she has received awards from other music competitions, such as The Kyungnam Maestro Competition and The Busan Duo Competition.
Passion for music
Her passion for music, she participated in other music programs. She earned certificates from The University of Washington Piano Institute and The National University of Singapore Music Composition.
After graduation, she became a professional pianist, and has had many concerts such as The Stage and Auditorium held by the Korean Broadcasting System, The Regular Thursday Concert organized by Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, The Friendship Concert Korea and Japan Exchange Recital. She was the collaborative pianist for Busan Women's Union Choir, and she has taught students at Dongeui Music Conservatory.
Currently, she is the collaborative pianist for Busan Whole Tone Symphony Orchestra based in Busan, and the collaborative pianist for Voice Ensemble NUOVO choir based in Seoul. As a member of the DongEui Piano Society she performs in both teams and solo. She also performs with another pianist, Jinhyun Choi.
